Travel Photography

Hellloooo! Ahhh, it’s 1 am now and decided to be here a little while before I hit the sack. So earlier last month I joined Travel photography contest that PDCA of Brunei organized. Since I have been travelling a lot lately around England, I thought of submitting few shots from my travel diary. I did not make it to the final… don’t worry I wasn’t upset… hehe! This is not my first photography competition that I participated… I joined a few previously and never win any. There are so many talented and professionals photographers. True fact. I admire them, those professions are my role model. I have so much more to learn. Anyway, here’re the four shots I submitted. enjoy! :D

You know its weekend when the city is busy. [Oxford, England]

The best part of travelling to another place is you get to see another pretty side of the world. This pretty little thing means a lot to me, it makes me feel cheerful and has also added another unforgettable moment into my diary. [Oxford, England]
The calming blue sky has made my travelling so much easier and the beautiful bloom flowers imprinted on each of my photo makes me smile. Ah, how I love Spring! It is the best season to travel around. [Oxford, England]
The Countdown Clock found in Trafalgar Square is a great reminder for the local people and international people across UK of the upcoming 2012 Olympic Game that are going to held in London. [London, England]

Payphone

“I’m at a payphone trying to call home
All of my change I spent on you
Where have the times gone
Baby it’s all wrong, where are the plans we made for two?”

These words are in my head. I have been listening for the past two days and I think it will go on until I get bored of it. hehe! Tomorrow marks the first day of class for the new term, it is going to be my last term *Cry*, I can’t believe my uni’s life are about to end. Lets skip this part, it is making me emotional. A little update of my work : I am currently on design stage, very off track, I am suppose to be doing my presentation board already. sigh. I have  lost the interest in AutoCAD drawings, sigh, serious matter. I get very demotivated when it comes to technical drawings, double sigh. Whatever it is, I will still make it work. Do keep me in prayer guys. *hugs*

Did you miss me? (Just in case :D )

Dear Passion and Inspiration, come back to me. Holiday ended. Yours sincerely, want-more-holiday-designer.

煎熬。

I am not having any suffering, it is name after 煎熬” [SUFFERING] because during Karen and Alex’s visit last weekend, the both of them have been listening and singing the song  煎熬 – 李佳薇 for the whole weekend during their sweet time with me in Birmingham. They love the song, especially Karen. And yes, Karen and Alex came to visit me. It was a last minute plan but I am very happy that they make it. It feels so goood to catch up with my high school mate, furthermore in a different environment, you get to hear what they have been through. During the weekend, I realized Alex and Karen are no longer the little baby I have known few years back, they are growing, you can tell from the way they speak and think, you guys are so much mature now! Its a good thing guys :D I really wish you guys could stay longer… :( three days a little too short, no? My room are so empty after you guys left. This is making me emotional man! sigh.

I am very thankful that both of you are by my side to listen to my voices, I felt so much better after speaking to the both of you. I did not expect all this thing would happen at the same time. tsk. BUT also because of the both of you, my weekend are so much happier! :D *kissess*

Capturevating.

Do you remember about the fundraise project that I mentioned earlier on? My friend and I decided to do freelance photography to raise money. We started of with a practice before stepping into the real business. hehe! So, Rui approached one of our classmate- Paniz, to volunteer to be our model. Paniz is so kind and agreed to do an outdoor photoshoot with us. Here are few of the shots from the collection! :D Between, it was my first photoshoot in England after arriving so long! So happy to be able to do it here :D

There are more on facebook, check them out there :D

Where is Harry?

I have lost the mojo to blog recently but it is back now so I am back to writing. Hello People, how are you all doing? Missing me? *wink*

I have so much to share with all of you. Yay?! hehe. Ohh guys, I’m in my second week of Easter break now, another week of honeymoon before school start kicking off. Wait. Not really a honeymoon, it is more like a study break- you need to STUDY while you are having a BREAK. get it? I am very near to my submission day now, deadline is really a dead one now. I haven’t done anything productive yet since my first day of break. You know I enjoyed my break.

Earlier on before my break, I decided to visit Oxford. I invited Mindy and Rui to join me. We spent half of our day in Oxford City, walking and snaping around. The actual plan is to visit Oxford University to visit Harry’s dinning area in the Harry Potter Movie but the three of us were to concentrate on taking photo and forget our time. By the time we realize we have missed the visiting time. failed much. But we still had fun and many pretty shots! :D

You know its weekend when the city is busy.

We were welcomed by the chocolate festival, their sell different of chocolates and many appetizing desert. Macaroons are one of it.

Melted Crayon Art

Ah ha! I just finished cleaning my room, feeling good now, so let me something that I did for the past days.

what you need: Crayon, Glue Gun, Canvas, Hair dryer.

Glue the crayon on the canvas. I leave a space in between each set of colour. Its up to you how you want them to be, you can stick anyhow you wish to.

Leave your hairdryer on to high and allow hair dryer to blow the crayon’s blunt tip, blow it from left to right or the other way round. The crayon melt very fast (I used an hour), maybe you would like to give it a try?

Make your own masterpiece on hang them on your wall. It is going to be so cool because the gradient are beautiful!

My inspiration for my final project is the crayon, so Roxey suggested maybe I should do with melting crayon to get more inspiration from the form, texture, colour etc. I am in the process of developing from this concept model now. Hope it works. hee!

Have a colourful day.

Love, Jane.

Can’t wait for spring!

I can see all the department stores and shops do Spring windows now. Is turquoise this year’s spring color? or is it a trend now? or just my eye? Most of the spring style attire I saw on the display window are mostly blue and greenish color, especially Dorothea Perkins and Marks and Spencer. Maybe its a hint for shopping time?! :D I love my days these days. The weather in Birmingham has been fairly kind with bright sun and pretty cloud like cotton candy. I can now wear one layer lesser (I usually wear 3-4 layers) and shorts (with thin socks) to run around without worrying getting cold. I believe Spring is coming (BIG SMILE!), I can’t wait to see all the beautiful blooms! Are you having the same thought as me too? :D

pretty sky.

14 degree good day!

I did not know England has a day call Pancake Day until the past Tuesday… and it is a tradition in England to eat pancake on pancake day so I made PANCAKEs! :D (Pancake is a the last day before the period of Lent)

Paper rose by Lian Hwa. she made 70 of them!
